Representing over a 1000 members across the country ( Doctors, Nurses, Pharmacists and other health professionals) in Namibia.
It is a professional organization responsible for establishing good practice and high quality HIV services to People infected and affected by HIV/TB.
The aim of the Namibia HIV Clinicians’™ Society is to support and strengthen the capacity of its members and non-members to deliver high quality, evidence-based HIV prevention, care and treatment services in the public and private sector through partnerships, information sessions and teaching conferences.
The Society has become a key focal point for development of professional expertise in the care and treatment of HIV and AIDS in the country.
The Namibian HIV Clinicians Society was founded in 2003 as a branch of the Southern African HIV Clinicians Society, which is the largest professional interest group in the world. The Southern African was at the time an umbrella organization for all health professionals resided in Southern African Development Community. In 2014, the Society became a non- profit organization registered as section 21 of the Namibian law.
